The 5MT “Bobber” originated from a Honda CJ250T 1976 wreck, that my mates Adam and Steve bought me for my 50th B’day, thanks guys, love it !
After closer inspection the diagnosis was:
"Engine needs rebuilding, and the frame needs straightening."
Lucky enough Joe, my Dad, a retired aero plane mechanic was holidaying at my place. You should have seen his face when he saw the wreck being unloaded from Adams F250 and the "ohh ohh" expression when I asked him to do the rebuild ... thanks Dad.
The motor got the works done. I could not get original pistons so they are dome headed after market, and it got bored out to 270cc. I managed to find a fitting set of carbies off a CB360 of the same vintage, and finished with pod filters.
